Q: How wide is the bay? Does it fit the bulky iPad heavy duty cases?

A: The width of the bay is 28mm. If the thickness of the iPad heavy duty case is greater than 28mm, it cannot fit into a single slot, however, the partitions cannot be detached, therefore, if you remove every other partiption, you can make a much bigger slot to fit 2 or 3 iPad cases in.
